Thanet House is a family run guest house in Alum Chine just a short stroll to the award winning seven-mile sandy beach of Bournemouth and Poole and the boutique shops and restaurants of nearby Westbourne village.
Thanet House was built in 1884 as part of the Alum Chine Estate. Originally the mill owner¹s family home it stood on open heath land. The mill no longer remains but the beautiful woodland chine has been preserved and laid with footpaths offering a picturesque walks to the beach and cliff top.
Andy, Anna and their young daughter Elizabeth love living at Thanet House and their extensive knowledge of the area is sure to be invaluable to you. Andy is a registered nurse who loves people and enjoys a laugh - his breakfasts are pretty good too! Anna always has a smile and her background in design means you’ll be staying in the best dressed house in town.
